The Founder
Born into the rugged landscape of the Canadian prairies, Charles Scott discovered cannabis cultivation as a young man — drawn not by commerce, but by the pure fascination of plant genetics and the untapped potential of seed selection.
In the early 1990s, when most growers were chasing yield, Charles was obsessing over preservation. He began collecting landrace genetics from every corner of the globe — Thailand, Colombia, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Panama — recognizing that these ancient strains were disappearing at an alarming rate.
His philosophy was simple and radical: protect the genetics that nature spent thousands of years creating. Through decades of careful selection, backcrossing, and preservation breeding, he built one of North America’s most comprehensive genetic vaults.
What began as Prairie Fire Seeds in harsh Canadian climates evolved into Reeferman Seeds — a name that would earn Cannabis Cup recognition, international respect, and a permanent place in cannabis breeding history.
We travel the world to collect and preserve pure landrace genetics before they're lost to hybridization and industrialization. These are living artifacts.
Our vault contains hundreds of unique cultivars spanning every continent where cannabis evolved naturally. Diversity is the foundation of all future breeding.
Multi-generational selection ensures our seeds breed true to type. No untested polyhybrids — every release has been proven through years of work.
We produce limited quantities to maintain quality control and genetic integrity. When a release sells out, it may never return.
