Acapulco Gold IBL

$125

Acapulco Gold, 100% sativa heirloom.

She’s one of my favorite plants to grow, and my favorite out of my entire Mexican and South American inventory. She’s also one of the oldest. She’s a majestic old-school plant. The leaves thin out in flower, and you can already see the background through her.

I’ve grown this plant for decades in Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Colombia and Jamaica. She’s a beautiful plant that thrives in a range of environments. She clones easily and shows no signs of excessive inbreeding. Over the years we’ve improved her flower-to-leaf ratio and structure by weeding out certain males and females and carrying only the most resinous females forward. Even my own pictures from 25 years ago show how far she’s come.

Grown from seed, expect a delay of about 30–35 days of veg no matter the light cycle. Once a mature mother is established and you’re flowering clones, she flowers in 14–16 weeks.

The flavor runs from old-school grassy and hash to a slightly faster pheno that tastes like Juicy Fruit gum. The most extreme apple plant from the last inbreeding is sold separately as our Acapulco Gold (Isolated Green Apple).

The true Acapulco Gold is a must-have for all sativa lovers and all tropical and subtropical growers. The “Acapulco Gold” sold by Barney’s Farm is about 40% this true Acapulco Gold and 60% Nepalese Highland Hash Plant. That cross is my Apple Pie.

Acapulco Gold is also one of my building blocks. It’s in Skunk From Scratch, Apple Pie, Sugar Blossom Skunk and 24K Gold.
