Orange Hill Special Reserve is one of our proudest Jamaican selections, born from early research in Jamaica collaborating with the University of the West Indies. We ran a dedicated garden testing local and regional landrace strains—seeds collected from various sites across the island, submitted with collection data and grower notes. Our focus was mapping original Lamb’s Bread genetics and hunting unique varieties untouched by modern imports.

One of the first standouts came from Orange Hill (a legendary ganja-growing hillside in Westmoreland, near Negril, long famed for potent, pure Jamaican herb). What struck us was its near-pure sativa expression: rapid stretch under photoperiod (extending 21 days to reach 6–7′ tall plants), yet it produced fruity-sweet, trichome-drenched spear-shaped flowers remarkably quickly. Initial hermaphroditism showed up but was easy to spot and cull. After two generations of rigorous selection (culling weak males/females and stabilizing the best), we dropped flowering time to an average of 56 days under 12/12—mold-resistant, wireworm-tolerant, and ultra-smooth with fast-hitting, focused cerebral effects.

Visiting Orange Hill growers confirmed it: this line had stayed unchanged for at least 25 years—no European or American influences detectable, just pure local heritage known simply as “Orange Hill Special.” It’s special indeed. We grew hundreds, produced pollen from the elite keepers, and locked in the finest traits—creating our own reserve selection of one of modern Jamaica’s finest sativas.

90% sativa-dominant, indoor finish in 55 days, outdoor ready end of September to early October at 50°N. THC 20–22%, CBD 0.8–1.3%. Buds are spear-shaped, heavily frosted, with bright fruity-sweet aromas (tropical notes shining through) and that classic Jamaican uplift: energetic, clear-headed focus, creativity, and well-being without anxiety or heaviness. Vigorous grower with big stretch—train accordingly—but rewards with resilient, mold-resistant plants and high-quality yields.
